IX INTERNATIONAL ETICS CONFERENCE 2023

Opening new horizons at the international conference ETICS Conference 2023: getting to know the latest trends in the field of insulation systems!

We always strive to stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations to provide you with the best solutions and products, so we couldn’t miss IX ETICS Conference on May 25-26, which is one of the most prestigious events in the field of ETICS insulation systems.

ETICS systems are the most common material and technical solution in Europe for external thermal insulation of buildings. About 300 million square meters of insulated exterior walls of buildings in Europe testify to the scale of ETICS success. Therefore, as a leading manufacturer of EPS, it was extremely important for us to attend this event and learn about the latest trends and innovations shaping the future of our industry.

The Polish Association for ETICS (SSO) organizes this event every year and gathers the brightest representatives of the industry from all over Europe. During the conference this year, the following were reported: representatives of European Technical Assessment Bodies will talk about ETICS: ITB (Robert Geryło, Mariia Goron, Ewa Sudoł), Łukasiewicz – ICiMB (Małgorzata Niziurska) and Łukasiewicz – WIT (Artur Miros); Sebastian Wall, who heads the work of the European Organization for Technical Assessment (EOTA), Ralf Pasker – managing director of the European ETICS Association (EAE), and Jan te Bos – general director of the European Insulation Manufacturers Association (Eurima). Romana Friedrichová (Technical Institute of Fire Protection, Prague), Torsten Richter (Leibnitz University Hannover); Beata Gutarowska (Lodz University of Technology), and Piotr Pawlak (MIWO).

It is with great pleasure that we would like to note that among the speakers it was possible to hear a representative from Ukraine – director of the SE “State Research Institute of Building Structures”, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Gennadiy Farenyuk, who gave a speech on the topic: “Experimental assessment of factors that determine the reliability of ETICS”. Participation in this conference is an important step for the exchange of experience and the initiation of relevant initiatives, taking into account the need for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, in particular, the use of ETICS composite thermal insulation systems during the reconstruction of buildings, which will allow to significantly increase energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

It was a unique opportunity not only to get acquainted with fresh ideas, but also to learn about the achievements of our European colleagues who strive to improve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability of construction objects. During the conference, many topical issues were discussed, in particular, great attention was paid to the study of fire safety of ETICS systems.
